At Vegan Wines, we are part of the movement towards organic, eco-friendly farming, sustainability, and veganism. And we’re practicing what we preach. We wanted to share with you our latest update from our food dome because we believe awareness and education are key for change.
Vegan Wines shares Eric’s work in our food dome on our YouTube channel
Eric uses only veganic farming methods. In agriculture, green manure is created by leaving uprooted or sown crop parts to wither on a field so that they serve as a mulch and soil amendment. Green manure is used for the pollination of crops, to fight against unwanted insects (instead of using chemical pesticides), and to help with achieving and maintaining biodiversity.
Eric shares his methods of sustainability and how he finds ways to recycle and use natural resources to grow our food. Wine is food and food is wine. You need one to have the other. The soil is key to the heart of our mission. We are working hard along with our partners to be part of the solution when it comes to making positive changes for our planet.
So for those that may not understand the intricacies of vineyard farming yet, we hope to educate through our everyday food from our garden.
Have you seen the Seaspiracy yet? This documentary on Netflix examines the global fishing industry, challenging notions of sustainable fishing and showing how human actions cause widespread environmental destruction. We encourage you to watch for awareness that is happening on our earth.
