Light in structure, but deep and dark in flavor. Black currant jumps out with its musky and tannic nose, followed by more perfumed and aromatic notes of tobacco, black tea and sandalwood. Digging deeper we get chocolate crème, coffee caramel and vanilla. The tannins, which present as very soft in the beginning, become more assertive on the finish with the help of a medium abv (13%) with lingering notes of black plum and plum skin.
