This Loire Valley red is romance in a bottle. A bouquet of wildflowers, chocolate-covered raspberries, and strawberries. There is a strong nose of soft potpourri, purple flowers, and purple fruit. On the palate, the fruit stands up straight with tiny, grippy tannins (especially for a lighter-bodied red). There is great structure and clean oak. This wine is bright and haunting at the same time. The finish is slight fruit, big floral.
