With restrictions increasing and changing by the day during the COVID-19 pandemic, what’s a wine lover to do? Many of us are no doubt opting to have house-goods, food, and wine delivered whenever available. Finding just about anything you could dream of online is a possibility these days, so wine lovers need not fret!

This said, as I shop through the virtual wine aisles, I’m finding myself reverting back to the classics and being a little less adventurous with my shopping cart selections than I would if, say, I were at my local wine store chatting it up with my knowledgeable, trusty wine clerk.

But the truth is, now is the time to try new things to challenge yourself and not rely on the mundane or the ordinary.

Thus, in the spirit of staying bold and keeping your palate excited, delighted, and tantalized, with the help of the tasting team at OmVino, we’ve developed a list of unique, new wine recommendations to guide you as you shop Vegan Wines – based on what you already like!

Wines to try if you usually drink... Adventures in Taste Blaine Ashley

If you typically drink:

Chardonnay, try this: Serracavallo ‘Bestiade’, Pandolfi Price ‘Larkun’ Chardonnay, Terre del Gulfo ‘Alysso’ Bianco

Sauvignon Blanc, drink this: Tringario Ludopalo Semillon, Pandolfi Price ‘Larkun’ Sauvignon Blanc

Cabernet, opt for this: Chateau Les Maubats, Luca di Tomaso Rossoconvinto Sagrantino

Merlot, go for this: Le Petite Robe Poivree, Terre del Gulfo ‘Portapiano’

Pinot Noir, nab this: Vicchiomaggio Chianti Classico Reserva, Eraldo Dentici ‘Corcurione’, Luca di Tomaso Montefalco Rosso

Malbec, sip this: Serracavallo Sette Chiese, Eraldo Dentici ‘Musa’

Syrah, snag this: Moretto Carigno Carignan

Prosecco, pick this: Mujer Andina Brut, Mujer Andina Levita Sparkling Rose

If you’re seeking something super funky, go big and bold with: 2018 Eraldo Dentici Grechetto IGT Esimio. Grechetto is a wine obtained through a 50-day fermentation of the skins of Grechetto grapes. A bright orange hue and an exotic taste bursting with blood orange, dried flowers, and walnut, this is the epitome of an oxidized orange wine.
